The main focal point of this page is the very large picture of the headline band of the magazine

this picture is very posed although is meant to look natural this is to bring out the bands persona and portray there music style

over-laid heading to show the bands name it is in large, bold black text which contrasts with the white back ground giving it more emphasis

underneath this there is red subtext, the subtext is very unusual because it is two hard hitting opinions and then a rhetorical question which is a very good technique of making the reader want to read more

below this is the bottom banner, the most striking part of this banner is the is the picture in the corner which coincides with the text next to it

the text is split into two colours in which the artist name is in one colour and the article title is in another, this is used to enhance the article and the artist

In left hand corner of the banner there is arrow with the word plus in it. This used to show the emphasis upon the banner and show that there are other big artists cover in the magazine

At the top of the page there is a large logo which is the title of the magazine it is used to show the reader what its is called and so in future they can relate other areas of there products with that magazine

Underneath the logo there is some small text that show what the logo means as the logo is an abbreviation. There is then dividers which further go on to display the issue date and the price

Next the logo is an article title which is the same size as the logo which is to emphasis the fact that it is big news

At the top if the page there is a big arrow that displays the free posters that come free with the magazine. This technique is used so to sell more issues and entice new customers to buy there product

In left hand corner of the page there is and advertisement for there synergy of “NME Radio” this is in a rip effect so it looks like the magazine has been ripped this is to give the magazine a bit of and edge stylistically

Beneath rip there is another advertisement for another article with a picture and subtext
Another rhetorical question is used to draw readers in and make them want to read the article

All text font and colour is very stylised to a theme and coordinated towards there house style
